Obituary for Tatiana A. Beier
Tatiana A Beier passed peacefully on December 25, 2018 to spend Christmas with her dearly missed husband, Alexander.
Born February 24, 1941 into the Russian community of Harbin China; Tania immigrated to San Francisco in 1959 with her immediate and extended family. Shortly after settling into the US, she met the love of her life and married Alexander October 8, 1961. Together they raised a growing family in the Bay Area; having three children, Helen, Andrew and Anthony. She prided herself as a stay at home mom and house wife; a role she loved, devoting herself to ensuring all was in place and meticulous. She mastered everything from sewing Halloween costumes and prom dresses to hosting large parties for family and friends.
In 1979, Tatiana and Alexander moved their family to Spokane in pursuit of Alex’s dream of opening a small tool and die machine shop. They were welcomed into the Greek community of Holy Trinity, from which they enjoyed many endearing friendships and years volunteering for the annual Greek Festival. As their machine shop grew, Tatiana seamlessly stepped into roles of co-proprietor, office manager and bookkeeper while still being mom extraordinaire. Their combined efforts eventually paved way to send all three children to university. With time, came weddings and the addition of grandchildren, all a great source of happiness for a mom who cherished every addition to the growing family. She extended her love unconditionally to all those that joined the family and beyond. greek prom dresses
As her children began their own families, Tatiana found a way to support a growing Russian community in Spokane, establishing herself as a medical interpreter. With the same love and devotion, she thrived in this newly found passion, particularly helping expectant mothers and eventually attending over 100 births before retiring in early 2000.
Mom and Dad spent their retirement years traveling, including trips to Europe, Russia, Australia and Cruising with family. They were married for 55 years before Dad passed in 2017. Mom will be remembered for her vivacious personality, her love of life, love for family and friends as well as her beautiful smile which touched so many.
Tatiana is survived by her daughter Helen and her husband John McGregor, son Andrew and his wife Colleen with their daughters Mackenzie and Amanda, and her son Tony his wife Tera with their sons Michael and Nicholas. Tatiana is also survived by her sister, Valentina and her husband Nicholas Loukianoff, as well as her niece and nephews of California.
